My training approach is balanced, and designed with the specific dog and individual in mind. Please give your dog or puppy the chance of a lifetime. I work with tools and methods that best suit you and your canine companion. If you need advice on the use of metal choke collars, nylon slip collars, prong collars, or e-collars; we can provide you with information on those tools and training, if that is appropriate for everyone involved. If you are looking for a quick fix or free fast advice, please e-mail me rather than call me at mannerly_mutt@yahoo.com. Then I can reply without expending a lot of my time. I have an article up on my blog about "magic wand solutions". Fortunately, I am very busy with clients that are committed to training their dogs. I don't mind talking to people who describe training as a "last resort", but I do need to manage my time responsibly. I don't have a lot of time for chit chat, and I can tell you what I think of your problem much faster with e-mail, because I won't need to talk over you if you are resistant to training. Otherwise, I am going to need to cut the conversation short and direct you to my e-mail. See our training facility, boarding area, and local area beach where client's dogs are trained and exercised. Please make an appointment before dropping by. Expected guests and scheduled classes should not be interrupted, but we can make an appointment for you to drop by or make arrangements by phone. Mannerly Mutts is not a kennel, although we do board for very select training clients or guests who can demonstrate that they have a trained dog. We do not provide one time boarding for overnight guests. Other kennels or veterinarian offices in the area will be happy to provide these needs. Because we provide such specialized and individual service to our established clientele, we can not risk temperament problems in dogs that we do not know or have not provided training for. Dogs who stay here are treated very much like our own dogs, and have much family time with both human and other dog guests and residents.
